The preparations for The G8 2007 in Heiligendamm, Germany are provoking some important re-alignments among the left there.
It's shaping up to be a huge and important event and the need to organise for it is forcing the various parts of German left to work out their relationship to each other. It's a very important process which has the potential to show some paths beyond summitism. We in Britain should take notice of it and start a similar process here.
