Khoodeelaar! No to Crossrail hole Tower Hamlets Council NEXT DEMO

UK Transport Secretary Alistair Darling - known also as the CrossRail hole Bill minister - is the subject of a series of legal actions initiated by Khoodeelaar! campaign. Other actions in defence of the Brick Lane London E1 area against Crossrail-Big Business attacks are also in the pipelines against the present Tower Hamlets Council. Today's local elections may cause a slight change in composition of the Council. But the campaign against CrossRail will have top go on against a Crossrail-hole-inviting Council
The vote fever that is sweeping across Tower Hamlets today will be over in a day or so. But the betrayals of the local community by Tower Hamlets Council will continue behind the election results. The Khoodeelaar! campaign against CrossRail, hole Bill is holding a demonstrator outside the Town Hall on Tuesday 9 May 2006
This demonstration would not have been necessary. But it has been made necessary by the absence of any commitment against CrossRail hole by every single ‘party’ that is fielding candidates.
The differences between the parties’ stances on CrossRail are marginal and the community knows better than to trust any of them to defend the community if the parties or groupings end up in any sort of alliance with each one.
The Demonstration details will be posted on the Khoodelaar.com web site on Friday 5 May 2006

BBC Nick Robinson covers up truth of Khoodeelaar local phenomneal impact
05.05.2006 07:00
Throughout the night of 4-5 May 2006, the BBC TV coverage of the English local elections had repeated plugs by presenter David Dimbleby makes plugs for the BBC Political editor Nick Robinson’s election blog. But there is nothing in the blog about the tremendously decisive impact the Khoodeelaar! campaign against Crossrail hole has had in Tower Hamlets.
Very odd.
For Robinson's blog is promoted by the BBC website as talking about the local issues.
There has been no such local issue as the CrossRail, hole one ion Tower Hamlets and no local campaign as powerful coordinated and consistent as the Khoodeelaar! campaign.
So why are the BBC denying the truth of such an event?

Don't forget ex-Mayor of Tower Hamlets Council Doros Ullah, shunted out as well
05.05.2006 18:37
It appears that my 'neighbour' Doros Ullah has been shunted out of the Council by the voters of Whitechapel. I remember hearing about Doros refusing to allow a council meeting to discuss the CrossRail tunnel plan on Brick Lane.
How very interesting also that Doros went at the same time as Janet Ludlow. She had longed for so long to be professionally loved by the Labour Party. She moaned and moaned that there was no consultation forum on Crossrail.
As Janet longed for consultation, Doros slammed the door on councillors seeking a meeting to recognise community demand that the Council should pass a No to CrossRail hole motion.
Funny that both Doros and Janet went.
Their departures show that you’ve got to really respect the people. If you don’t then you must go.
This election result is therefore just about mentionable. For its content that neither Janet Ludlow nor Doros Ullah is on Tower Hamkest Council any more

Khoodeelaar demonstration against Tower Hamlets Council Tuesday 9 May 2006

This is a camapgn against the CrossRail hole Bill attack on the Brick Lane London E1 area.
The attacks will occur if the CrossRail Bill is passed into the CrossRail Act.
That Bill needs to be changed fundamentally.
The CrossRail Bill is in the UK parliament now.
It is currently supposedly being scrutinised by a select committee.
the Bill contains provision for digging a big hole in the Brick Lane London E1 area.
If the hole is not stopped then the community in the Brick Lane London E1 area will suffer serious dislocation, disruption and losses.
As a result of the Khoodeelaar! No to Crossrail hole camapgn, the Tony Blair regime did admit some of the CrossRail hole Bill was unacceptable and announced that it was going to scrap one hole plan. But it still insists on digging another hole in the same area, somewhere in the Brick Lane London E1 area.
We are holding the local tower Hamlets Council responsible for that hole provision
We are also going to camapgn against CrossRail station at Whitechapel.
We are demanding that the public transport needs should be managed on sound economic bases, not on the terms of Big Business and the building and construction conglomerates.
we do not need a CrossRail station at Whitechapel.
These updated demands are included in the demonstration calls on Tuesday 9 may 2006
The Khoodeelaar! demonstration against Tower Hamlets Council is at 1700 Hrs outside the Tower Hamlets Town Hall, Mulberry Place
London E14 2BG

No need for a Crossrail station at Whitechapel - upgrade existing tube station
08.05.2006 07:58
The most economic and environmentally sound way to bring any benefits to the local economy will be to improve the existing Whitechapel station.
Any improvement work will cost a fraction of the costs involved in making a Crossrail station here.
The public purse is not so big that we should waste millions of pounds in doing that.
Far better to use the cash to raise the standard of care in the community for all who need support. At present, money shortage is a rampant excuse for denying much needed resources to the community.
Why not use the predicted cash for a CrossRail station instead in improving the services that are being sunk in Tower Hamlets by the current Council?
