UK Transport Secretary Alistair Darling - known also as the CrossRail hole Bill minister - is the subject of a series of legal actions initiated by Khoodeelaar! campaign. Other actions in defence of the Brick Lane London E1 area against Crossrail-Big Business attacks are also in the pipelines against the present Tower Hamlets Council. Today's local elections may cause a slight change in composition of the Council. But the campaign against CrossRail will have top go on against a Crossrail-hole-inviting Council

The vote fever that is sweeping across Tower Hamlets today will be over in a day or so. But the betrayals of the local community by Tower Hamlets Council will continue behind the election results. The Khoodeelaar! campaign against CrossRail, hole Bill is holding a demonstrator outside the Town Hall on Tuesday 9 May 2006

This demonstration would not have been necessary. But it has been made necessary by the absence of any commitment against CrossRail hole by every single ‘party’ that is fielding candidates.

The differences between the parties’ stances on CrossRail are marginal and the community knows better than to trust any of them to defend the community if the parties or groupings end up in any sort of alliance with each one.

The Demonstration details will be posted on the Khoodelaar.com web site on Friday 5 May 2006
