Assassination attempt on Nick Griffin or belated April Fool?

The BNP has reported what it claims was an attempt by Swedish Communists to murder its leader, Nick Griffin.

A delegation of BNP officials travelled over to Stockholm to help launch the campaign of the National Democratic Party (another nazi group) which is contesting the national parliamentary elections due to take place in September. Griffin was accompanied by his wife Jackie, Sadie Graham the BNP Group Development Officer and Martin Reynolds.

The delegation, along with several of their Swedish hosts, boarded a commuter train in the capital, Stockholm, on Saturday afternoon as they travelled away from the election launch venue. Details are vague, says the BNP (non-existent at this point, in fact) but it is believed that a tip-off was made to a Stockholm radio station who alerted the police, who in turn stopped and evacuated the train.

Swedish Police have not yet provided any details of which, if any, group is claiming responsibility.

More details seem a tad hard to get as nobody seems to be reporting it... ;-)
