100th soldier vigil in Leeds

Leeds Coalition Against the War | 31.01.2006 14:54 | Anti-militarism

Vigil in Dortmund Square, Leeds, from 5.30pm tomorrow evening, Wednesday 1 Feb, to mark the death of 100 British soldiers in Iraq. Called by Leeds Coalition Against the War

We will be joined by Peter Brierley of Military Families Against the War, a local man from Batley whose son was one of those 100 soldiers. He believes that our troops should never have been in Iraq in the first place, that the war was illegal and that our troops stationed there now should be brought home. Whereas records have been made of each soldier to die, the number of Iraqi victims of the war and occupation is unknown, but estimates of over 100,000 would seem closer to the truth.

We wil wear black ribbons in memory of the dead soldiers, and to show respect for their families and friends who have lost loved ones. A wreath will later be laid at the Cenotaph on the Headrow.

Every 'soldier' fighting an AGGRESSIVE WAR murders us all

I'm glad you think it appropriate to show respect to those DIRECTLY responsible for the extermination of 300,000+ humans in Iraq. Perhaps tomorrow, you can find out where the monster Rose West is currently imprisoned, and go show her some of the same 'respect' too. At least Rose West carried out her crimes aware that if caught, we would PUNISH her. That's more they you can say for anyone serving in Iraq.

"Every 'soldier' fighting an AGGRESSIVE WAR murders us all"

Every ...person who writes complaints about those in the anti-war movement (including StWC) who are actually trying to do oppose the war, instead of either getting involved and contributing their ideas or doing something about it themselves, murders us all.

Every ...voter (and there are thousands more of them than there are soldiers) in Britain who voted for any of the warmongers in Parliament, murders us all. Clue - the soldiers are doing the job set out for them by the MPs who are placed in Parliament by the voters. The voters should bear more of the responsibility than the soldiers in my view. The soldiers are merely the ones at the end of the production line who hold the bloody guns and risk their lives by doing so. The tangled web of deceit consists of something much more vast than just the soldiers.

Every ...voter in Sedgefield who voted for T. Blair, murders us all.

Every ...newspaper journalist/TV presenter/TV reporter for the media who makes excuses for the war in Iraq murders us all.

Every ...person who says that the soldiers should be killed, just because they oppose the war, murders us all.

The voters dont carry the guns or direct the soldiers to the battlefield.
Even though voters are responsible in some way you cannot even try to compare the ammount of responsibility held by the soldiers. They hold the guns. They murder the people.
