Post Indymedia - a future

As the UK indymedia site continues lose ever more respect (and readers) in the anarchist / activist / Left world, a group of us is trying to analyse where it all went wrong so we can learn the lessons and get it right next time.
A public meeting is going to be held on Saturday the 12th of November at the Use Your Loaf Centre For Social Solidarity, 227 Deptford High St, SE14. The meeting starts at 7.30 and will be entitled "Post Indymedia - where now ?"
Most people seem to be focusing on the so called Editorial Policy which has enabled the six or seven regular "Moderators" to control the output and push their view of the world but the problems are bigger than that with a recognition that maybe we should be embracing a wider field of opinion. We are not setting any form of agenda or "correct" ideas just opening up the discussion and hoping to establish a "new" Indymedia UK which is representitive of the true community rather than a small group. All contributions and peeps are welcome and on the night computer equipment will be available to enable us to get started on the project.
We hope you will join us and creating a new start.
Love, Respect and A New World
