Farenheit 7/7

Gary224, Gary24, Gary the non-anarchist | 22.07.2005 15:36 | Repression | Terror War

The reaction sinces the bombs is creating an asmosphere of panic, hate and intollerance.

Since the bombs have gone off what has happened in Britain has been a repeat of the unessecary panic that always happens after bombs (oooooooh scary!!!!!).

Of course the bombs were a tradegy and of course there is a threat but the reaction has been overblown.

Everyone is talking about "THE BOMBS"

Remember how many people died in the bombs on 7/7. 56 or 57. A tradegy yes. But people are dying in those numbers everyday from heart disease, car accidents and other stuff. But nothing sells papers and gets tv ratings like bombs and fear. Of course the bombs must be mentioned but the over-the-top attitude from the media and government is causing a great deal of harm. Now think about all the media hype from Sky News, BBC, Daily Mail and even the Guardian who prides itself on being such a logical newspaper. The media have been ridiculously over the top. It is nothing short of propaganda.

Example..................Sky news have been doing hours and hours of reporting today (22nd july) and absolutely nothing. Just talking, showing diagrams and pictures of "events" connected to "terrorism" when actually nothing is going on.

Reminds me a bit of the panic over pedophiles when mobs went around attacking people who had similar names as alleged pedophiles.

What do i believe are the negative affects of this crazyness...............

...................Firstly, The panic is turning to anti-muslim hatred. As people blame Islam for the bombs they forget than non-muslims commit evil crimes (e.g. holocaust, slavery etc.......) and that the hatred from certain people British people is just as bad as the hatred which the bombers had in there hearts.

Secondly, the worrying. There is a threat of more dying but the worrying does not help at all. Espeically as they dont worry about dying from being hit by a car when that is even more likely.

Thridly, the oppressive laws that are coming. Now British people will face oppressive laws which are totally driconian and often dont make a difference to deal with the terror threat. Of course the police and security forces will be loving this as this is what they have been training for and they will love the extra power they get. And of course groups like LIBERTY who oppose these unfair laws will be accused of being un-patrtiotic when the bombs had absolutely nothing to do with the flag and absolutely nothing to do with the Queen.

I bet the media bosses are loving this as well. Since the bombs went off the ratings of Sky News and the sales of papers have gone up. The over-the-top reporting is very bad jouranlism but lets face facts they dont care because the tv channels and the newspapers are making huge profits from these bombs.

If these media people really care maybe Rupert Murdoch and the other bosses could donate all their Sky News, CNN, Guardian, Daily Mail and Fox News profits to the victims of these tragedies.

First USUK massacre at Falluja
First USUK massacre at Falluja

Yes. Quite right.
Part of the obsession by BBC ad UK media etc. is that this is where they are based (. The real news makes them redundant and is from the newsGroups and alt. media online, but old news still has the TV ads.)

This type of bombing happens everyday in Iraq as a result of the illegal USUK attack and occupation, mostly unreported and on a larger scale in other parts of the USUK occupied areas.
The interesting aspect is that the bombers are home made, and not yet the relatives of those murdered or tortured by USUK forces in Iraq who are, one would think, the most motivated to react to continue the Blair cycle of violence.
The Thatcherite war fever jingoism that fed the Falklands episode is still present and can feed both sides of the arms/oil dependence versus life and self determination struggle.

New Police Powers

22.07.2005 16:30

What is worrying me is the new powers the police have asked for. There is a copy of the full text on the Liberty web site but here are my favourite bits.

"Consideration should be given to developing new rules of disclosure to provide protection from discovery of sensitive tactics and techniques."

- now I am a paranoid and hairy commie by nature but is anyone else getting the image of a chap in a stress position with a bag over their head?

The also want a new offence of
"withholding encryption keys etc"

"Recent investigations have been made more complex by difficulties... in ascertaining whereabouts of encryption keys to access computers” do you reckon they are looking at us?

They also want to "suppress inappropriate Internet usage"

Bombs As Plants?

22.07.2005 19:57

Since none of yesterday's devices exploded, despite their detonators being triggered, and the LIAR Blair says that this stroke of luck will provide investigators with forensic evidence which will help to identify the culprits, does it not stand to reason that these were possibly intended as plants? It seems that care went into ensuring that nobody was hurt, but that this "orgy of evidence" was left for investigators.

The devices used on 7/7 contained military explosives, but much work has gone into flushing that fact down the Memory Hole, as seen in the "Egyptian Chemist" fable. The police used explosives in the apartment of one of the people being blamed for 7/7, thus contaminating the scene, then tarped the area off entirely.

No CCTV footage caught the bombers in the act, and we're supposed to believe what a pack of LIARS say, again without any independently-verifiable evidence, as was the case with "911".

It feels as if today's devices were left behind by someone eager to frame a certain target, and point investigators in a specific direction, possibly towards one of the PNAC target countries.

I'm not saying that I know this for a fact, it simply fits a certain pattern and tactic which HAS been employed in the past.

If it turns out that these devices point to Iran, Syria, etc., I simply would hope that people will THINK about today, before they rush to believe what a pack of proven LIARS wants them to think, based solely upon this "evidence".

Especially if those LIARS attempt to use this as an excuse to wage another war that they've already got planned and at the ready.

Now there's a comment which can cut all sorts of ways.

News Hysteria and promo for Security companies

23.07.2005 08:47

It's like the TV News channels go into election mode and start making stupid predictions and wheeling in loads of so called experts so they can ask them an endless stream of absolutely idiot questions.
The so called experts give even more idiot answers which the news readers then uses to come to an evener more looney conclusion and so it goes on.
As time goes by and with not much in the way of new developments the News channels seem to get desperate and wheel in even more obscure experts and the questions get worse.
One thing that is clearly evident is the number of Security Consultants who are becoming regular features, the Beeb has a blonde AUS women almost permanent fixture, she is now stating how we are going to stop the bombers with elaborate security systems, no doubt supplied by her company.
One thing is for sure that it's good time to invest in security systems and I bet you any money the shares in some of these companies will go through the roof. I wonder if any one is monitoring wether the ones that are appearing as TV consultants will also be getting big contracts and maybe a bit of insider trading and therefore benefiting from the bombs.
