Events everyone should be aware off

In the last 24 hours a number of regular contributors to Indymedia have seen their posts, hidden, removed and worst of all edited because they have chosen to point out mistakes made by a moderator. They have all received the standard answer of "this is not the place to discuss editorial policy, join the mail list" however attempts to join the mail lists are rejected and email have gone unanswered. If it had been one person it might have been a simple error but we are talking about 5 people here.

Indymedia is about all of us but when we reach a situation where an elite no longer responds to the readership we have a serious problem.

This IS not the place to discuss editorial policy!

Indymedia is NOT about all of 'us' - who the hell is 'us'?

Indymedia is not for example a place for contribution from nazis.

If you want to be more involved in Indymedia then join the lists or better still, get involved via your local collective. Don't tell us that you have tried and been rejected, your email went out to the list and simply hasn't been replied to yet and there is no evidence that you have been rejected from joining the list which requires no manual approval.

So yet another person reports about posts being edited, something I was told a few months ago never ever hapended. Of course the post is hidden quickly
