the BBC will Incriminate you, !

Following the undercover BNP Secret agent, the BBC now have no legal option but to hand over video footage to the police upon demand, we spoke to 2 BBC camera men who admitted that they had given copies of 4 tapes to the police, consisting of 5 hours of wdtv quality DV recordings, they explained that they now have no option but to do so following the secret agent programme which broke the option of a court order requirement for tape copies.
SKY News, CH4, ITV are not subject to this infringment for the simple reason that they have never been stupid enough to hand over material without either a court order or written copyright agreement of consent.

as much as I agree with the destruction of the BNP, I fgeel the BBc have made a Gross error in handing on material without court orders as now they have no option but comply

In short BBC VIDEO = Prison sentence.

I don't know whether what has been written above is correct (there is some protection in law for journalist material but not much), but the idea that BBC VIDEO = PRISON is plainly bollocks.

If you do something illegal or imcriminating while you know you are being filmed - be it by FIT, or the BBC, or by SKY or even indymedia - you risk seeing that footage used against you in court.

DONT DO DODGY STUFF IN FRONT OF CAMERAS UNLESS MASKED UP
(and then only if you've been masked up all day and have nondescript clothes and shoes and no hair showing and no distinguishing manerisms etc)

That way, if abusive cops want to get you, they have to illegally detain you (happened to me, and to most of my friends at some point) and possibly torture you (happened to me, and to many of my friends at some point), or frame you (happened to several of my friends), or kill you (happened to some of my friends' friends).

Where I come from (in the US), the cops rape and kill people in the streets; one local cop kills first and rapes later.
