Indymedia Center at the E.F.C.R. pictures of the indy center and indy demo London Oct 2004 the band that played on friday night and the Samba band on the demo.

The indymedia media center was a great success, over 70 computers were networked to run off 4 servers running a linux operating system.
there were computers in the bar, with a bunch set up in 2 media rooms and also 9 terminals for the dispach room, to update the uk site and co-ordinate the reporting of actions and demos.
Also machines for editing audio pics and video.
it was a great experience, a few hitches along the way but overall an amazing success :)
Big shout to all the uk and international collectives who participated in the imc center
WE ROCKED !!! :)

Big thanks to Camden crew

Huge hugs and thankyous to the Camden imc-istas for the media centre. Friday nite's band, by the way, were the phenomenal "Moleque de Rua" ("Street Urchins") from Brazil. The only disappointing thing for us was the inability to upload video, when we had about a dozen crews shooting stuff. Apparently we need our own servers to solve this (which might also stop them being taken away by the FBI!), so let's fund-raise. What about an appeal, post-FBI, on the homepage with a Paypal contributions thing?

By the way, video is currently being hosted on other sites, e.g. Bristol (thanks to them) with a link to UK / London. Could we also post low-spec video (2MB files) to imc-Russia, who were really active in London at the weekend, and would like to receive anything from us, as they develop their site.
