subvertising Cowley Rd

I saw the subvertised hoarding off Cowley Rd this a.m too - I love the stuff those people do. There was a brilliant one a month back of a toddler knocked off a BMX in front of some big sports car roaring out of the ad photo. Imginative and really hard-hitting. Keep up the great work!

if anyone's feeling inspired....

...there's another one just down the road that would love a similar treatment :)

Only problem is it's up high.

This is one of most original and innovative that I have seen.

Keep up the good work guys!

There is also a banner....

There is also an air tattoo banner hanging across St. Michael's Street off Cornmarket.

(also lists the sponsors of the event)

Wrong sort of ads

27.06.2004 07:47

We went to Oomph last night on Oxpens and there was hardly anyone there.
I don't believe it was the weather or the football that kept
people away but the poor advertising. Sad cos a lot of work was put into it and it was very professionally done, if a bit odd.
Shame we can have killer machines plastered all over Oxford for sad people to take their impressionable kids to see costing them an arm and a leg but a free, peaceful, local, community event is barely advertised.

Much amused - I walk by there on most days.

My favourite was the Mini Cooper ad with the teeth a couple months back.

I figure they'll give up on that billboard one of these days, it always gets hit.
