If you genuinely knew just a fraction of what is done to the Palestinian people, you wouldn't find yourself able to talk about Israel just 'defending itself'.

Of course every suicide bomb is a bloody atrocity but it does not appear out of thin air; the cause is the occupation.

Non-state terrorism does not justify state terrorism.

Don't you think making thousands of Palestinians homeless, the killing of children, the beatings and daily humiliations at checkpoints, the stealing of farmland for settlements, the violation of international law, the possession of weapons of mass destruction, the torture of prisoners, the shooting of ambulances and denial to medical care, the shooting of peace activists and journalists, the invasion of another sovereign country, Lebanon, the second-class treatment given to Arab citizens, settlers setting fire to olive trees, painting the star of david onto Palestinian houses, the stealing of water resources, is wrong?
Maybe the police harrass these guys because the truth is uncomfortable, and embarressing for M&S, and they have more money and influence in political and legal circles with which to try and get rid of the nuisance.

But you can't suppress truth, it is the unavoidable reality, and you can either face it and deal with it in a reasonable way, or stick your head in the sand and keep spouting lies and fantasies ( 'it's all good...it's all good...there's a perfectly reasonable explanation why Israel is doing these things...and actually, it's not doing them really...' )
