Corporate lobbyists operate in Britain with ever greater boldness and
imagination. They have often been inordinately successful, persuading
the government to abandon proposed legislation or change existing rules.
Nowhere are they more active than in the field of development and
planning. This lecture examines how they work, how they change
government policy and how they might be confronted.
