ESF Official Website Replaced with GLA / Mayors Website!!!

The official website of the ESF:

has been replaced with the GLA Greater London Authority and Ken Livingstone Mayor of London website!

What is going on...

THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!!!

These people are incredible - what do they think they are doing?
I am disgusted!

This was the website used for Paris, and also held some info on 2004 London ESF, and was intended to be the main website for London ESF.

Now it's hijacked by the Mayor of London! - Amazing and outrageous!

I just clicked the link provided, www.fse-esf.org seems almost exactly the same website as www.ukesf.org.uk

Hmm... 12:17 and it is working. I suspect someone redirected the domain name before the server had the host set up.

The server is Netscape-Enterprise/6.0 which is a step up from a M$ one I suppose :-) Mainly valid css and html 4. Pretty heavy use of tables.
Not actually too much there yet. Generally accessible. Minutes are in pdf and rtf.

Anyone know what they are doing to make the old uri persistent? [in english: what are they going to do to make links to content on the old version of the site still deliver the info]

There was useful stuff published on the old websites and links to it should still work! We must not forget the past, we can learn from it, and in this digital age it seems an easy thing to do!

At 14.05 I'm still getting the London GLA site, but then I'm outside the uk - would this make a difference?
