Pro-Israel propaganda on Indymedia

Systematic pro-Israel posts on Indymedia are not news, not analysis, and not discussion.

Indymedia is occasionally used for systematic propaganda campaigns, and the supporters of Israel are good at such campaigns. They post items such as this one,

which is agressively pro-Israel, and repeats several standard claims of pro-Israel propaganda. However, it is not a news item, it is simply a cut-and-paste of an article from the Jewish World Review (by Fiamma Nirenstein). It is not an analysis of anything, but simply a set of propaganda claims , mostly in the form of an accusation. You can find it at several aggressive right-wing pro-Israel sites such as Israpundit.

Subsequently someone - probably the original poster - added another cut-and-paste. This one is directed against an Israeli NGO and originates from the right-wing columnist Gerard Steinberg.

Why should Indymedia serve as a platform for this propaganda, especialy since its originators have their own websites? Indymedia is not a mirror site for the Jewish World Review or Israpundit, and the editors should not allow it to be used in that way.

Why censor the right to respond to posts from Judeophobic white supremacists that deny Israel's right to exist in Jewish ancestral lands and call for the massacre of Jews?

Since when has repeating the Jew hating rhetoric of neo-nazis been acceptable to 'anti-fascists'?

If it's acceptable to glorify suicide bombers, then why not do a feature special on Baruch Goldstein and his martydom for his land and people?

Perhaps because neither are acceptable?

Then why the glorification of Palis murdering civilians?

People need to realise that, whatever you think of the Israelis, Arafat, Hamas etc are NOT GOOD, especially Hamas, who believe that Jews started WW1, Russian Revolution, WW2, etc - usual anti-semitic bullshit.

Though much of the criticism of the Israeli government and the military is legitimate, there is too much glorification of all of the Palestinian resistance from some people. Just as with the Iraq resistance, we should accept that there are some unsavoury types involved, and though the aim of a Palestinian state, free from Israeli state terror is just, the suicide bombings that kill innocent Israelis, are not.

There is too much black and white vision on here, like with those who accused me of working for Bush and the neo-cons, simply because I mentioned Castro's human rights abuses. That topic mysteriously disappeared.
