33093 cases total up to December 2001 in the 13-24 age group.
36299 cases total up to December 2002 in the 13-24 age group (ESTIMATED).

Thats an estimated 3,206 new cases between Dec 2001 and Dec 2002.
For Dec 2000 to Dec 2001, there were 1,800 new cases in the same age range. Let's call it "Teens and Young Adults".

Anyway, theres the numbers dealt with. Thats comparing the same age ranges each time. Were all those cases I just mentioned in the 20-24 age range? Highly highly improbable. And given your other use of numbers, Id say no chance. "People over 65 are almost three times MORE likely to get 'AIDS' than teenagers (11,552 compared to 4,428 on 2001) the CDC statistics for 2001 show". No, they dont. It shows there have been roughly three times as many cases of those over 65 being diagnosed with AIDS than those 13-19.

So, although these figures dont exactly define the 13-19 range, its fair to say there are about twice as many people over the age of 65 than in the 13-19 age range. Add this to the fact that the figures are for numbers diagnosed with AIDS, not numbers catching AIDS at each group and you see the 'article' is even more misleading - those 65+ have had their whole lifetime to catch HIV, while those 13 year olds have to get HIV very early, before sexual maturity, for AIDS to manifest itself.

So, what did we learn today, kids? The notion that you can use statistics to prove anything is just a myth. All these stats do is imply that Paul has nothing solid to go on, so has to make up rubbish to feed to those eager to believe AIDS is yet another method Bush is using to force America into becoming the 4th Reich. And even if AIDS doesn't exist (as the site seems to claim), surely advocating condom use to stop chlamydia is a good idea?

Health Minister Shatrughan Sinha has already rejected the CIA report, and
the National Intelligence Council clearly stated the CIA estimates to be
'highly exaggerated' and not based on surveillance data collected in India.

Mr Gates has reportedly funded the controversial report and also made huge
investments in companies involved in AIDS drug research.

Charging that the CIA's direct and unwarranted involvement in Indian public
health issues amounted to direct intervention in its domestic affairs and a
challenge to its soverignity, Mr Mulloli questioned the basis on which the
CIA said that 310,000 people had died in India due to AIDS in 1999 alone.

The Indian Parliament talked of a mere 114 AIDS related deaths in 1999.

So AIDS isnt a massive epidemic so it doesn't exist? Was the Y2k bug a hoax invented by Bush to scare us into not looking at internet porn? Is measles a complete hoax, and the vaccinations are just meant to be painful so we get scared of BDSM? How on earth are ordinary people going to take you seriously? You rely on false interpretations of figures, hyperbole (teenagers do NOT live in fear of AIDS), and are making such a fuss about the latex in condoms you forget to mention latex-free condoms. Also, AIDS isnt the only thing going around. There's plenty of other diseases you can get. Not to mention, by not using a condom you run the risk of getting yourself/your partner pregnant.

People over 60 are six times more likely to get "AIDS' than teenagers.

People between 35 and 44 are nearly 82 times more likely to get 'AIDS' then teenagers. So much for 'sowing your wild oats' when you are young.

None of these figures fit the behaviour of an std in any way whatsoever.

The whole AIDS mess started when HIV was stated in a press conference as the "probable cause of AIDS". The mass hysteria at that time allowed this theory to become a "fact" without ever being proven. Since then, scientists have been racking their heads trying to find out HOW HIV causes AIDS because they know that HIV does not kill T cells as is commonly reported as a FACT. There are only correlation between HIV and AIDS and that does not mean that HIV Causes AIDS. There are numerous factors involved that are routinely dismissed, among them the very treatment given to people who test positive on an HIV antibody test. The medications alone will cause AIDS if a person takes them for a long enough period of time. Right now the majority of AIDS deaths are due to liver failure directly caused by AIDS medication.

Saying that HIV is the cause of AIDS is simple and easy, especially for people who are not being affected by it. The problem now is AIDS has grown into a multi-billion dollar industry and there are powerful forces at work trying to keep the inconsistencies of the HIV-AIDS paradigm at bay.

HIV is a "Weapon of Mass destruction" that has never been found. AIDS, however, is very real and needs to be addressed in a rational manner without lobbyists pushing their agendas.

Hopefully obvious to most, but these posts + websites are the products of some seriously out-there nutjobs. Be smart, wear a condom!

The 10-year Padian study (1997) observed sexually active
couples in which one partner was HIV positive. The result: in 10 years, not
one uninfected partner contracted HIV, even though all participants admitted
to having sex without condoms.

The study states, 'We followed up 175
HIV-discordant couples over time, for a total of approximately 282
couple-years of follow up. The longest duration of follow-up was 12 visits
(6 years).

We observed no seroconversion [infection] after entry into the
study." In the three-year Stewart study (1985) not one male partner of
HIV-positive women contracted HIV. Prostitution is not even listed as an HIV
risk category by the CDC, because of the extremely low incidence of HIV
transmission to clients who have no other risk factors (i.e. drug abuse).

These findings bolster the hypothesis of some AIDS scientists that chronic
malnutrition and other environmental factors, and not a sexually-transmitted
virus, are the causes of weakened immunity in people diagnosed with one of
the nearly 30 AIDS-defining diseases (which vary from country to country).

An aversion or allergy to latex shouldn't put people off using condoms. There are many non-latex condoms available - polyurethane ones, for example, that are thinner and stronger than latex, and can be used safely with oil based lubricants.

The problem I have with the AIDS conspiracy theorists is

1) They raise questions but refuse to accept answers or provide answers themselves
2) They tend to degenerate into this kind of rhetoric:

and yet the rate of French AIDS cases is 1.93 (nearly twice as high*) compared to Denmark. In other words half the condom use creates twice the AIDS (cases not death) rate.


When you adjust for the higher number of sex acts per year in Denmark (152 v. 143) shown in the Durex study (compared to France) the figure shows that DOUBLE THE CONDOM USAGE RESULTS IN (OVER) DOUBLE THE AIDS CASES. This is fairly consistent in ALL European countries and so cannot be dismissed as a anomaly.


Clearly it seems that 'Safe Sex' is natural sex after all.
