Would this be a useful way to check meeting rooms where folk suspect the rozzers are listening?

Seems pretty cheap at around £40. Anti-radar/laser technology has been very successful at detecting and warning speeding motorists in the US of cops ahead.

Could this work for activists worried that their meeting spaces are bugged? Anyone know what the limitations would be? It wouldn't detect wired taps but then they must be much more hassle to install and it would presumably work in cars etc...

The number one rule of detecting whether premises are bugged or not is to NEVER discuss your intentions in the premises in question and definitely NEVER to discuss it on a public web site like this. Cops, MI5 etc also read this site and if they think some of us are using a certain type of detector then they'll just change whatever system they're using to something better that can't be detected by some piss-pot device like this one. The number of different ways for bugging premises is huge. Remember that cops etc have essentially unlimited resources compared with skint & clueless hippies and are likely to use more the sophisticated and therefore hard to detect systems. This el-cheapo detector would likely only detect available-over-the-counter amateur bugs of the type likely to be bought by paranoid spouses for use against their partner.

From when did the pigscum become intelligent enough to operate any equipment other than the usual phonetaps, batons and cs-gas?
Stop being paranoid.
Talk freely and do not let them scare you or take your rights away.
Talking is our birth right.
OK talk sensibly and carefully but say what you want to say.
If there are not enough people around listenting to you then you have some ideas that are lost before you even start.
If anyone wants to spy around it is easy to be an activist mumbo jumbo wanker in no time.
Then what will you do with your pig detector?

The response range might be important...make sure to have an understanding of wavelengths. Best if they scan to strongest signal, rather than passive scan. Its expensive, so best to plan carefully. I think its best to grow movements rather than hide away and avoid speaking to one another. On the other hand, there'd be no harm in a few activists becoming specialized in signals - the police are quite likely to use their informants to carry in retransmitting devices, and use modified mobile phones which are always on event if the screen is off etc. All of this can also work in reverse, and signals (esp. unauthorised taps) can be legitimately intercepted. Anyone got any unscrambling software?

A cheap and effective way to secure a room would be to knock a radio station off frequency and turn the white noise up - this will make it near on impossible for your conversation to be listened to. Unfort it is not effective against telephone taps - room only.

check out ESP and Remote viewing in Google....then you save time and money....it is equally possible to block your thoughts from the remote viewing of pigscum...just trust and open your third eyes
