Would this be a useful way to check meeting rooms where folk suspect the rozzers are listening?

Seems pretty cheap at around £40. Anti-radar/laser technology has been very successful at detecting and warning speeding motorists in the US of cops ahead.

Could this work for activists worried that their meeting spaces are bugged? Anyone know what the limitations would be? It wouldn't detect wired taps but then they must be much more hassle to install and it would presumably work in cars etc...
