Indymedia Reporting for DSEi Arms Fair

*Reporting the Protests*

There will be a couple of spaces for co-ordination, meetings for volunteers who want to get involved and limited net access - see below.
Reporting telephone numbers will be made available for people to report events, including a main telephone number for indymedia reports for the website and one to leave audio msgs for uploading to the website - great for on-the-spot interviews (note: these numbers will not give out information). Remember to give clear reports - what where when etc - but do not incriminate yourself!
*Indymedia Spaces*
Indymedia Contact Point:
There will be an Indymedia Contact Point at the Disarm DSEi Convergence Centre, Kingsley Hall, Powis Road, London E3. Starting Sunday 7th September (imc meeting at 10.30am) through Monday 8th. This should be the first port of call for volunteers interested in getting involved.
Indymedia Access Point:
There will be a small Indymedia Access Point in a hall near to the protests. This will be for people to download images off their digital cameras and upload to the web and write reports. There will only be a small number of computers here - connected via one adsl line. The facilities will be available throughout the day on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th.
Other Computer Facilities:
There are a very small number of internet cafes and community access facilities in the surrounding area of the DSEi protests - a map of these will be made available for indymedia volunteers at the convergence centre.
Indymedia Events / Meetings:
Sunday 7th Sept - Indymedia Volunteers Meeting at the Convergence Centre (10:30am -12:00) An introduction to media centres and indymedia reporting of large protests - how to get involved + what's going on. (NB there is also a media training session later in the afternoon)

*Radio Projects*
Radio Streaming:
There will be a radio stream running tues 9th + wed 10th (8am-8pm) and thurs 11th September (9am - midnight). The stream will hopefully be icecast mp3 and ogg format at the same time from different servers. Contact imc-uk-radio@lists.indymedia.org (nb your mail will be archived in public on the net)
FM Broadcasts in London:
During the week several progs on Resonance FM 104.4 will feature views about DSEi - shows include:
5th September: 1700 - 1830 Slowsmall Peasants will present a documentary about arms and companies who have profited from war in the 20th century
9th September: 1300 - 1400 The Indymedia Newswire show will bring reports live from the street during the Direct Action day of DSEi protests and updates and audio from what's been going on in the previous days.
