Blair still 100% behind Iraqi evidence of WMD

At the G8 Summit Blair has feircly hit back at critics who cliam that he misled Parliament into the war on Iraq by claiming that he read all the evidence of Iraqs WMD and attempts to aquire nuclear weapons evidence which had been passed as accurate by the Secret Intellegence Services and was totally convinced of its accuracy!
He also insisted that it was only a matter of time before weapons of mass destruction would be found in Iraq and that all the evidence would be published over the next few weeks and months for all to see. George Bush also defended the war saying the evidence of Iraqs WMD and attempts to build nuclear weapons was cast iron evidence and totally accurate!
Documents were also discovered in Iraqi government offices stating the link with Al Qaeda. Documents which were examined by the sercet intellegence services and cleared as geniune!
The row over weapons of mass destruction has erupted due to none yet being found in Iraq. But there is no evidence whatsoever to prove that they didn't exist or that Bush or Blair misled people over the evidence. The issue of Iraqs WMD was also debated in Parliament and a majority agreed on the use of force to make Iraq disarm if it refused to willingly.
Tony Blair also stated that he would never risk the lives of British troops unless he believed that it was absolutly neccessary. Blair also blasted critics who claimed that it was all about oil replying that a deal could easily be struck with the Iraqi regime if they wanted Iraqs oil!
Stating clearly that his main concern was to prevent another September 11th style attack he used the example:- "Imagine I said before September 11th that there is a group in Afghanistan called Al Qaeda who are a real threat to the West and are planning a major terrorist outrage and that it was neccessary to go to war to destroy their terrorist base. Most people would disagree that war was not neccessary and protest strongly against military action! Well I dont want to make that mistake with Iraq. I will never allow a serious threat which in a year or two might result in another September 11th style tradgedy from happening knowing that I could have acted to prevent it!"

repeating a lie doesn't make it the truth

The UN, hans blix and the international community all told Blair there was no evidence of WMD in Iraq. Why can't Blair/bush be straight with us, and admit they went into Iraq for oil, ordinary people would preferred to be told the dirty truth, rather than a dirty lie. People would respect Blair for being open and honest if he did admit he went into Iraq for oil, god knows we in the west needed it.
Waging War in Iraq /afghanistan hasn't stopped the all elusive al-ciaeda network, who continually evade capture to pop up in Bush's Saudi buddies back yard. The war in Iraq at its least was foolish profiteering, but at its worst was a totally stupid, waste of taxpayers money and needless loss of iraqi civillian and brit army personnel lives. The was no evidence to suggest that unclesama bin liner and the al-ciaeda network had any connection with tinpot, secularist dictator Soddem. In fact unclesama bin liner after iraq 1, offered to patrol the kuwait border on behalf of the west, Bush snr and Thatcher giving clear indication that unclesama bin liners allegiance and loyalty lay with Bush snr, and the west, and not with secularist tinpot dictator soddem.
