SUPPORT FOR GEORGE GALLOWAY MP
Wednesday 2 April 2003
AN OPEN LETTER SENT TO THE EDITOR OF VARIOUS UK NEWSPAPER LETTERS PAGES
I would just like to say how great it is to see one of our M.P’s brave enough to finally speak the truth about the injustice and illegality of the US and UK invasion of the sovereign middle east state of Iraq.
Too many of our MP’s have now become intellectually neutered puppets unable - and too afraid - to speak their own minds, perverting a hatred for absolute monarchy depicted in history-books with a love for absolute government.
In this regard they do a grave disservice to political life in Scotland.
However, in the case of George Galloway, well done George. Perhaps his comments will help mean that Labour will not be too badly trounced in the Scottish Parliamentary elections.
I on the other will be giving my vote to The Scottish Socialist Party. It is a shame that we do not have someone like George Galloway as our MSP.
For dereliction of duty and climbing on a gung-ho bandwagon of national and international self-interest and an inability to represent their constituents honestly and truthfully in the matter of the injustice and illegality of the war crimes being committed in the name of Britain against the men, woman and children of Iraq - human beings who cook, sleep, make love and dream of tomorrow like the rest of us - I and a good many other peoples votes will be going to THE SCOTTISH SOCIALIST PARTY.
Yours sincerely

This man is a joke and the only reason there has been no great outcry regarding his absurd comments is that he is a busted flush. If I was ant-war I would most certainly want nothing to do with this man.

"a network of individuals, independent and alternative media activists and organisations, offering grassroots, non-corporate, non-commercial coverage of important social and POLITICAL issues"
cant be any clearer than that
if indymedia wish to censor users postings and introduce clauses and a contract (or as mentioned above guidelines)governing postings that users abide with...this should be available to be read and agreed to, as is standard in the industry at time of posting...

Hierarchy: The newswire is designed to generate a news resource, not a notice-board for political parties or any other hierarchically structured organization.

There is always someone who has something to say and there are always wankers who vomits the "rules" and "conditions" and "regulations". Reminds me of those righteous few who voluntarily police car parks on sundays to catch out the odd few non-payers.
Fer God/Allah sakes, there will always be this going on, and amazingly there are always those who never drive past a red traffic light, never dump a bit of scrap paper on the sidewalk, never farted in bad company, etc etc here telling you about "rules", "conditions"....
How bloody boring!!!! All these excuses dug up when these people actually are not happy with the posts.
And that "hierarchy" crap posted by that wanker - do me a favour mate, just piss off with other people's rules, willya, don't forget to tell Bush and Blair about the rules regulations terms conditions etc of the Human Rights and Geneva Conventions.
...and don't forget to wipe the pan after you missed your target. There's rules there too.
I obey Orders Rules Regulations yeah...
Galloway: Hmmm...

What can I say. Even if this man was opposed to Saddam as we all are in the left, we've gotta stop kidding ourselves that this guy is the man to represent the anti-war coalition. He's sensationalist and comes out with queasy comments about Stalin etc and doesn't compare - at all - with highly respectable, well spoken, realists like Jeremy Corbyn.
I say we should give him less stage time at the rallies.
Just my two cents.
