SUPPORT FOR GEORGE GALLOWAY MP
Wednesday 2 April 2003
AN OPEN LETTER SENT TO THE EDITOR OF VARIOUS UK NEWSPAPER LETTERS PAGES
I would just like to say how great it is to see one of our M.P’s brave enough to finally speak the truth about the injustice and illegality of the US and UK invasion of the sovereign middle east state of Iraq.
Too many of our MP’s have now become intellectually neutered puppets unable - and too afraid - to speak their own minds, perverting a hatred for absolute monarchy depicted in history-books with a love for absolute government.
In this regard they do a grave disservice to political life in Scotland.
However, in the case of George Galloway, well done George. Perhaps his comments will help mean that Labour will not be too badly trounced in the Scottish Parliamentary elections.
I on the other will be giving my vote to The Scottish Socialist Party. It is a shame that we do not have someone like George Galloway as our MSP.
For dereliction of duty and climbing on a gung-ho bandwagon of national and international self-interest and an inability to represent their constituents honestly and truthfully in the matter of the injustice and illegality of the war crimes being committed in the name of Britain against the men, woman and children of Iraq - human beings who cook, sleep, make love and dream of tomorrow like the rest of us - I and a good many other peoples votes will be going to THE SCOTTISH SOCIALIST PARTY.
Yours sincerely
