Reports from a spontaneous protest on Oxford street.

The spontaneous protest that occured on oxford st is now dispursing. There was a police cordon separating the protest at Oxford street where a spontaneous protest grew to over a thousand people. Police have blocked off many streets in the vicinity, but at around 7:30 the protesters managed to dispurse and headed off towards Hyde park again. There was one arrest at the Oxford street protest of a man who burnt a US flag. A couple of scuffles broke out as the police both Met and City, took offence to the anti-war street party that materialised out of the energy of the protests. People who had escaped from a coach from Fairford at Shepards Bush, also ended up joining in the Oxfordd st protest.

Later at around 8:00pm many of the anti-war protesters had moved to the area of Marble Arch, protesters are again completly surrounded by police and have become cordoned in around the area of Paek Lane. Police moved to block off the the road access to the American Embassy. Half of the people are in a sit down protest and the police have over fifty vehicles in attendance. There are aproximatly 700 in the protest and the police are clearing people from the surrounding area.
