the day was grand.
the base had little clue of what was happening as more than ten cardiff anarchist's, clad in white-overall's climbed the 10ft perimeter fence of the BAe arms producing base. after giving the "beefed up" security "guard" (note the singular) the run around for twenty minutes or so, the group split up to the further annoyance of the plants security. however after half an hour most of the group were held and realeased at one of the dissused side gates of the plant, whilst at the same time, two members of the group had succesfully handcuffed themselves to various buildings.
after an hour from the time we had entered the base, and had later been pushed out, we regrouped and headed to the main gates were once again we found minimal security.
three members of the team managed "once again" :-)
to gain enterance to the base, were they recieved heavy handed treatment from the ex-army security groups.
one of the cardiff group members was charged with suspicion of criminal damage and detained at the local station. however after a couple of hours they were realeased as the police had fuck all to say or do and gladly all of the original team that had started the days actions were free to enjoy a well deserved pint.

the momentum of the movement is growing and growing. actions like this are a constant reminder to the powers that be, that we will not idly sit back and watch, whilst so many more people will die thanks to corporate interest.

Let's just hope the movement continues to grow and more people take regular direct action against all the exploiters of death and we should be taking action against DSEi, Europe's largest arms fair and all who exhibit there (see www.dsei.org and www.dsei.co.uk and www.dsei.co.uk.

BAE systems decided not to press charges against the cardiff protester, despite the fact that she was "caught red handed" (Gwent police) cutting numerous holes in the fence in full view of their own security guards.

This was the second attempt at gaining entrance - earlier the group had been manhandled away from 'explosives areas' and warehouses.

It all suggests to me that BAE systems might have been a trifle embarrassed to admit that a bunch of anarchist protesters could get in so easily to a royal ordnance factory and basically take the piss out of their combat clothed security thugs. And this on a day when they were actually expecting a CAAT demo. Wonder how crap the security is normally?

We need more of this sort of stuff I reckon - much more!!!
