Save Saddam brigade will create anarchy!

The following is the lead letterl on the letters page of today's Yorkshire Evening Press. Hilarious!

Save Saddam brigade will create anarchy

SO the Save Saddam brigade are to march on Saturday. The Socialist Workers Party, the Green Party and all the other anarchists who want to stoke up the fires of anti-Americanism will march to save Saddam.

Not a word of condemnation about how this despot has gassed his own people and waged war on his neighbours.

Save Saddam at all costs, let this tyrant terrorise his people for the rest of his life and then let his son continue to enslave the people of Iraq, just as another son has taken over from a despotic father in North Korea.

Yes, march to Save Saddam, humiliate the Americans and when they have retreated into isolation, let us continue with our campaign to flood this country with thousands of fit and healthy asylum seekers who hate us and then we shall surely reach our goal of creating total anarchy in this country.

D M Martin,

It's great to see that the great british sense of humour is alive and well, in these dark times.

A wonderful example of satire on a Swiftian level. Bravo!

Yes, but even in Yorkshire...

...I'm sure most would agree that anarchy is probably
just a little more attractive than the thought of living
under a Totalitarian dictatorship a la Bush?

He has a point...

Saddam is not an innocent bystander in this whole mess. He has done some horrible things, and this message is not coming across, and it needs to be shouted far and wide.

I'll be marching on Saturday because I oppose the war, not because I have the slightest bit of respect for Saddam. I am getting fed up with the communists at the mic who think that any enemy of America can do no wrong (notably A.N.S.W.E.R. and the WWP).

Saddam has gassed his own people and has invaded another country. These actions are just as horrible (if not worse) than the possible US/UK slaughter of innocent Iraquis.

marching on Saturday

klassik!

At last

Its about time those damned anarchists sorted themselves out and organised a party to represent their collective views.

Im marching on saturday, not because I want to, but because I feel I have to.

Hope to see you there.

Nick

Mr Martyn should get into real history

13.02.2003 22:43

Just like most of the other nasty dictators put and kept in power by the US Saddam is also a Bastard. Mr Martin mentions the gassing of Kurds, the West said nothing then because he was an ally of the US + UK. In fact David Mellor was over there talking business (probably arms)while having tea with Saddam four days before the attack. A few days later Dick Cheyney was over there selling Saddam a few million Dollars worth of weapons. I can't be bothered to write much more about shit for brains like Mr Martin of Dork. Yes i will also be at the Demo on Sat but not to save Saddam but tens of thousands of innocent civilians from US + UK terrorism. Stick that in yer barrel an smoke it Mr Dork.
