Bradford demo against Iraq attack
Bradford demo against Iraq attack

A thousand people were anticipated, over three thousand turned up
The march started from Lister Park in Manningham and and went through the city centre with a rally in Centenary Square in front of City Hall.
The demonstration, which was led by the magnificent Peace Artists band, was lively and good humoured and consisted of all shades of opposition from faith groups to Class War, and was representatively multicultural.
Several speakers addressed the rally.
Interestingly, Labour MP Alan Simpson called for the removal of the Labour leadership.
Better get down to it, man

80% say NO WAR!

I hope you were there dh...?

I will attend the huge up and coming London demo, however, they choose to march to Hyde Park and converge in a wide open parkland, instead of directing this vast body of protesters to swamp Trafalgar Square, Parliament, Buckingham Palace or the American Embassy and cause maximum disruption on the city's favourite shopping day, Saturday.

So much for civil-disobedience, the sheeple are too feeble to step out of the box and make a real impact.

But the majority has spoken, so when the war commences without our support or consent, this "democracy" will be seen for the sham that it is, and hopefully, the public will no longer tolerate this form of governance.

Ramsey Clarke called for the impeachment of Bush in DC.

grinding it all to a halt

well I took the friggin photo, so I must have been there (about 30 other photos I boobed - oh well - modern technology) Yes, I think the half million expected in London could well put a halt to the city's activities. Let's advocate staying there til this (mass) murderous shower crumble under the weight.
Something must be done!

People uniting against War Mongers

I was there on the 18th Jan 2003, marching against the Bush Administration along with 3000 others all with one message to Tony Blair and George W Bush STOP this fight for Oil (or maybe you can't cos the Zionist would have your ass wiped off the face of the earth if you did not obey their every command) Either way Bush and Blair will attack, even if 80% are against this war....
