Bradford demo against Iraq attack
dh | 18.01.2003 17:26
A thousand people were anticipated, over three thousand turned up
The march started from Lister Park in Manningham and and went through the city centre with a rally in Centenary Square in front of City Hall.
The demonstration, which was led by the magnificent Peace Artists band, was lively and good humoured and consisted of all shades of opposition from faith groups to Class War, and was representatively multicultural.
Several speakers addressed the rally.
Interestingly, Labour MP Alan Simpson called for the removal of the Labour leadership.
Better get down to it, man
