This board is being polluted by bullsh*t from Nazi extremists, weird conspiracy freaks and RUC/PSNI (same pigs, different name) spindoctors. Whats going on?

this is supposed to be a progressive left wing anarchist news website, but we keep getting biased, prejudiced or outright bigoted propaganda pieces posted here from numerous sources. Perhaps it is the intelligence agencies trying to divert us from the point??

so far this week we've had stupid BNP press releases about mercury fillings - why do the Nazis think we care what they think about mercury? Is this a new ploy to try and get support? We've had dangerous and bizarre conspiracy theories about Sept 11 and the usual whinings about "freedom of speech" whenever a Nazi article is challenged. Nazis don't get freedom of speech. They're scum and they deserve to be gassed, or at the very least have their legs broken. Then they'd think twice about joining the BNP/NF nationalist group.

what the fuck is it with the PSNI (same RUC pigs) spindoctors on the forum?? Bullshit articles talking about how "brave" these macho right-wing religious bigots who team-up with gangsters like Adair to screw-up working class areas with crack and beat-up women. "The PSNI cares about human right" - yeah right, keep dreaming jonny mcIvor.

someone needs to kick these arseholes off our news wire!

It is the job of the commercial media to let the agendas of their sponsors and political/corporate masters to dictate the "news". Here, personal issues should not close our minds to what is and isn't important to know. If the BNP feel they have something to contribute, and it isn't racist/discriminatory/inflamatory, they have as much right as anyone else to post news here. Nazis do have the right to freedom of speech because if we remove that, then we become nazis. Their arguments are weak enough to discredit themselves, just as your rant has discredited yourself. Pushing people away because their beliefs are different is why people do not unite against the problems our leaders push our way. If the Nazis hate the immigrants, the anarchists hate the nazis, the democrats hate the anarchists ad infinitum, we have a huge number of tiny groups all hating each other and keeping each other in check - making sure common issues to all people are never solved.

(I suspect the original post is from an Irish republican, not anyone from the ANL..)

But anyway, the BNP are now posting press releases here daily, and various other far-right types seem to be following suit. Is there a danger of a far-right take-over of IMC, at least of the newswire? Or, more insidious and maybe more dangerous, is there a danger of Nazis being seen as just another element in the anti-capitalist mix?

Any views? Anyone from the IMC collective care to comment?

... if you want to eradicate Nazi posts from indymedia, you are going to have to put some work in yourself. Instead of moaning that fascist posts are tolerated (which I don't think they are, they are just over-looked by the hard-pressed under-staffed co-operative), why don't you join and get involved with editing? I know that many of us - me included - don't have the time to do this on a regular basis, but I am sure that two or three extra members in the editorial collective could make a substantial difference.

Hey, students, instead of going for your corporate internships, why not volunteer some of your spare time to helping Indymedia? At the same time, you could eradicate Nazi postings on this site - how about it?
