Women block Westminster Bridge

A women's anti-war action succeeded in blocking Westminster Bridge with street theatre, puppets, music and banners before police forcefully intervened.
A women's Anti-War action took place on Westminster Bridge, close to parliament, around 1pm today. Traffic on the bridge was blocked and protesters made their case against the war with puppets, street theatre and banners.
Some people climbed onto lamp posts and put tape across the streets, but police stepped in with force, cutting down banners and aggressively dragging down protesters. A number of people were hurt and one woman was arrested
