Irish Government Prepare for Sellafield Disaster

Irish Government have issued Iodine kits to households to protect against nuclear fallout from Sellafield.

A friend recently returned from Ireland with the disturbing news that everybody in Ireland has received Iodine kits to combat nuclear fallout from a terrorist attack on Sellafield.
I did a search to confirm this and found:

If the Irish Government are taking steps to protect their people, shouldn't we be concerned about our own safety?

I guess Iodine tablets would be pretty futile if Sellafield went up - Greenpeace reckons that the UK and a large portion of Western Europe would have to be evacuated if the Sellafield storage tanks exploded.

Wouldn't it be ironic if we became nuclear refugees, looking for a country to take us in who are prepared to foot the bill for our medical treatment!
