Arafat to help pick next Israeli PM

A couple days ago, President Bush indicated in a speech about his Middle East policy that he and Sharon would decide on who is suitable to run for Palestinian leadership.
Since this idea has many questioning his even handed aproach on this matter, he has now announced that he and Arafat will jointly decide on the appropriateness of Israeli candidates to run for the Prime Minister position.
Ahh, the wonders of American Democracy.

I wonder if Mr Bush could put a name to the people carrying out the following AND if he did would he realise his present hypocrisy!
* April 25, Terrorists kill two in car park.
* June 18, Two soldiers killed and 3 taken hostage.
* July 22, Terrorists blow up King David hotel killing 42 with 52 missing and 53 injured.
* Nov 17, Eight service men killed and eight injured as terrorists blow up a lorry carrying troops. In the ensuing gun battle the terrorists escape behind lines of stone throwing youths. Twenty five miles away three others killed wnen jeep drives over a planted mine. Another man killed trying to remove land mine from railway track.
* Dec 2, Five troops killed in bomb attack.
* Jan 12, Terrorists blow up police station.
* March 1, Terrorists set of bomb in officers club.
* April 24, Terrorists blow up army barracks.
* May 4, Terrorists blast way into prison to free convicted terrorists also freeing 251 criminals.
* July 31, Terrorists kidnap two soldiers and execute them two weeks later by hanging.
Okay okay, for those of you who know their history (unlike Bush) these terrorists were ISREALI!!!! and these events are only a selection between 1946-1947 in a "war" to oust the British from Palestine and gain a homeland for the Jewish people. The two main terrorist groups were Hagannha and Irgun. The leader of Irgun, Menachem Begin would later become a Prime Minister of Isreal. With other prominent figures in the terror groups taking goverment positions.
This history did not stop the US and Britain and other countries doing business with him. Even though at one time he was at the top of most wanted terrorist list of the British goverment. My how our standards have changed re: US position on Arafat.
