Arafat to help pick next Israeli PM

Just announced from the White House. A new effort by President Bush to be more even handed


A couple days ago, President Bush indicated in a speech about his Middle East policy that he and Sharon would decide on who is suitable to run for Palestinian leadership.

Since this idea has many questioning his even handed aproach on this matter, he has now announced that he and Arafat will jointly decide on the appropriateness of Israeli candidates to run for the Prime Minister position.

Ahh, the wonders of American Democracy.
