Jasmin And Bruker Daltonics Announce Partnership For Supplying Radiation Detection Systems To UK MOD
Jasmin Simtec Ltd. and Bruker Daltonics Inc. (NASDAQ: BDAL) today announced the forming of a partnership in the field of intelligent radiation detection systems.
In April 2002, Jasmin Simtec, working in partnership with Bruker Daltonics, was awarded the contract for the supply of the Ship Installed Radiological Detection System for the UK MOD's Type 45 Destroyer programme. The Type 45 Anti Air Warfare Destroyer is an important procurement programme for the Royal Navy, with the potential for a total class of up to 12 ships. BAE SYSTEMS is the Prime contractor for the Type 45 Destroyer programme with a contract for the provision of six ships, all using the Jasmin/Bruker NATO-compliant, programmable SVG 2 system for radiological detection.
In addition, Jasmin and Bruker Daltonics are already cooperating on various other UK programmes in the area of substance detection and pathogen identification.
