youth-grassroots-action on bikes across Europe for support of localisation, renewable and sustainable transport and social and environmental justice
This idea just hatched a few hours ago. A team of students across Europe are forging idea of nomadic cycling movement to raise awareness of the necessity for localisation of the economy and green fuel/transport and environmental/social justice.
Plan is to start several cycling groups to cross Europe visiting alternative communties, eco-villages, organic/permaculture famrs, villages, towns and cities, learning, sharing and experiencing local economies of scale and the effects of unenvironmental practices on people and nature.
Call to shift dramatically towards renewable energy sources and create more localised economies for harmony between people and people and people and nature.
This we feel is crucial. Together with several organisations, including Restore the Earth (Findhorn Foundation) and The EYFA, and Glocal Eco-Village Network, we want to start up a migrant/itinerant, youth grassroots based caravan of learning and sharing, of waking and awakening for a sustainable future for all.
