McDonald's rip the p*ss out of Bertie Ahern

This is scanned from a full page ad in the Irish Daily Star newspaper 13/3/02, with a circulation of 90,000. The name tag 'Bertie' could only refer to one Bertie Ahern, Irish Premier, following allegations that some of his educational qualifications are falsely claimed.
As if ripping the p*ss out of the country's so called 'leader' wasn't enough, the text of the ad then seriously claims that a job in McDonalds provides 'outstanding training' and a 'great working environment'. You can just see the marketing department rolling on the floor laughing as they let the ad go to print. There's no need for subvertising on this one.
The text in the ad reads:
Experience that will stand to you for life
No matter where your career takes you, you'll always remember the invaluable experience gained working at McDonald's. Like learning some basic skills to help you achieve your goals, such as teamwork, leadership and communications to name just a few. They're the kind of things you need to help bring out your full potential. So whatever your plans or wherever your destination, at McDonald's you'll find a flexible job and competitive pay, with outstanding training in a great working environment. And all the encouragement and support you'd want for a career in management right here if you choose. Whatever your choice, the sky's the limit. Skills for life. McDonald's.
