Royal Navy Recruitment Offices Occupied

20 anti-war demonstrators closed down the royal navy recruitment offices at Sussex University all day on Friday. They unfurled a banner from the window screaming 'War Is State Terrorism' to the world. Soon a crowd of 200 people gathered outside to show that, contrary to what Tory Blair says, not everyone backs the so called war on terrorism.

For this act of defiance the local constabulary decided to arrest the lot of them! Having first been told they were going to be searched on suspicion of burglary they were then all arrested under the public order act and, on release hours later were told they faced charged of false imprisonment!
News reports were soon out that “A group of anti-war protesters on Friday stormed a university and took a Royal Navy officer hostage.” even though the demonstrators did all they could to get the officer in question to leave.
All 20 have been released on something resembling bail.
