PoliceThePolice.org.uk take on Number 10

www.PoliceThePolice.org.uk was launched this weekend. To apply pressure on the UK government via Number 10 Downing Street, to set up: A wholly Independent Body to investigate shootings by Police Officers in the UK.
Police have in recent times shot dead an unarmed naked man in his own home, a distressed and confused schizophrenic outside his home, and a young man walking on a busy estate carrying a novelty lighter in the shape of a gun.
In light of these facts a campaign is being launched this week to highlight the shortcomings of the investigations around police shootings.
The campaign's sole purpose is to promote the PoliceThePolice ePetition which will be submitted to Number 10 Downing Street.
10 Downing Street are required to publish details on their site once 300 signatures have been recieved.
The ePetition calls for an Independent Body to be set-up to investigate all Police Shootings in the UK. To find out more visit the official website for the Police the Police e-Petition http://www.policethepolice.org.uk
