A Forgotten Demo ? Stop the City 1984.

I dont know if IMC want to put this on their 'debate' section, but the 1984 Stop the City action needs to get some archives catalogued before it's forgotten completely

Stop the City has been understandably overshadowed by the coal miners strike which broke out the same year. It should be mentioned that many miners actually particpated in it, that it made use of the latest hi- tech (new fangled CB radios and first generation mobiles !) and that the movements of real people and coppers alike followed similar patterns: moving from the City to the west end, with, as I recall, similar results. Many of these protesters subsequently went on to join the miners in their own struggle.
As the BBC seems to be compiling faulty archives on other protests, I wonder if IMC might want to help set up a truer record of this one ?
