Ten months before the 7/7 London bombs Verint Systems signed a 30 year contract with privatised London tube company Metronet Rail. Metronet is now in liquidation so many are asking is that contract still valid? They are also asking because Verint's last chief executive, ex Israeli army officer Kobi Alexander, is a fugitive in Namibia who has run off with $13m and is wanted in New York under 35 counts of fraud. Verint was also Delisted from the NASDAQ in February this year for failing to file accounts to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

in a remarkable display of over-policing, 8 cops, 4 forward intelligence, a van, and a rangerover accompanied a peaceful inter-denominational walk through the streets of london. the walk was more of a vigil than anything else, to mark the 6th anniversary of our invasion of afghanistan. after five hours overtime, the police headed off and completely missed the security breach at the ministry of defence that happened shortly after

earlier today, there was a peaceful walk by activists calling for the withdrawal of troops from afghanistan (report here later). 12 police followed and filmed the 22 peaceful protestors for nearly five hours. later outside the MOD, opposite downing street, four urban gargeners dug the earth and planted poppy seeds. they remained unnoticed in the 'government security zone'.

The media spin of "doom doom" in the west, with the odd "deprioritisation" of this sort of mould-breaking news - with its echoes of the end of apartheid in south africa, or the irish peace processes "key moments" - is suspicious, but . . . . breaking news???? Mr. Awan has filed court documents that assert he falsely confessed to crimes because FBI agents threatened him with lethal injection and said that they would have RCMP officers arrest his sisters in Montreal. This is the most common that I have known such verbal abuse since being born in 1961. Who can block now at Faslane?
