The massive leak inside the Thorp plant recently went unnoticed for months and has caused areas of the plant to be unoperational for months - with massive levels of staff inactivity. Interestingly, local press reported the discovery of the leak almost a week before the national press picked up the story.
Now, while attention has been on the terrible events in London, what we have not been told is that Sellafield has been closed because of a terrorist threat. Staff have been told not to come in to work and only essential maintenance staff were allowed on site for several days. Local press picked up on the story but appear to have been told to drop the matter and the national press have failed utterly to mention it.
In the wake of the attack on London, it may well have been only precautionary but my source believed this was not the case and that there had been a specific threat.
What else are we not being told?
