Scottish CND and others are calling for city and town centre protests about the attack on Fallujah which started today.
US troops have completly encircled the town and are starting to move into its outskirts. Large numbers of civilian and troop casualties are expected in the house-to-house fighting that will follow.
Already thousands of residents have fled but now the US forces are refusing to let any male between the ages of 15-50 to leave or enter the city.
100,000 people have already died in Iraq since the start of the invasion.
