There was protest on 15th June at the Highways Agency exhibition at the Don Valley which presented their plans for the widening of the M1 and M62.

Ahh... look at the Great Crested Newt... Great Crested Cute more like! Couldn't you just eat them up? Well no, they are a protected species, found recently at sharp hill.

The Planning Officer Mike Senior has confirmed to NAIL (Nottingham Against Incineration and Landfill) that the vote on the planning application to allow Waste Recyling Group permision to build Nottingham's third cancer factory, will not be made in June, it will now be put to the vote on 19 July.

This decision will in all probability be put to the vote at the Development and Control Committee meeting on 19 July at the Council House Nottingham.

Nottingham Arboretum celebrates with a Green Festival embracing all things green. Live bands, fun for children and sustainable produce. Stalls, including crafts, plants, local produce, energy conservation demonstrations, wind and solar power, social struggles and human rights issues etc and plenty of other organic, eco-friendly activities.

This another yet another event in Sneinton event, designed to draw attention to Nottingham's lamentable lack of recycling facilities. This event was to highlight this fact, and further, to show that many items, thoughtlessly discarded, might have a 'second life' if people just thought about it.

As you can see from the the links below, other 'multi-bike' and trailers have been made.

This is yet another example, of some inovative work, that I hope may inspire others to start their own projects.

On Sunday (21st May) at 11am folks met up at Sharphill Woods and joined hands for the 'Hands across the Hill' protest.

A night of info about the latest US crackdown on radical green activists is planned, for sat 27th May, at the Sumac in Nottingham. Entertainments will follow.

Around 50 people attended a public meeting yesterday in Sheffield to oppose the widening of the M1 motorway and to demand a radical change in government transport policy to sustainable solutions.

If you go down to the woods today ...... you'd be sure of a big surprise...... well no bears found, but the cameras of the BBC 'Politics Show' in the East Midlands were there.

Sounds on the Downs is a free festival planned to take place on the downs at the University of Nottingham (near Derby and Lincoln Halls) on Wed 7th June, 2pm-10pm.
