A recent report on protests against the BNP in Sutton mentioned some rather strange quotes from a prospective MEP. Lewis Allsebrook, who is currently a local councillor for the BNP in Heanor West, is 4th on their East Midlands list of candidates for the European elections and would "revel at causing some havoc" if he were to get to Brussels. He also thinks the Church of England's teachings of the Bible are "normally twisted and evil" and that there is a "ring of darkness around Nottingham" that Labour would call "Diversity"."

Last night about 50 people from East Midlands Unite Against Fascism, Mansfield and Nottingham Trades Council, Stop the BNP, UNISON, GMB, Unite and others protested in Sutton in Ashfield.

The British national party held a gathering, believed to be a fund raising event, at a pub in Sutton In Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.

There is a rumour that BNP have moved the location of tonight's fundraiser from Sutton.

The nazi British National Party (BNP) want to hold a fundraising “event” in Sutton in Ashfield. They want to raise money for their European Election campaign this year by having an evening of speeches fron BNP Furher Nick Girffin and “light and sound effects plus cinema-graphics”. Who writes this stuff?!

On March 28th, English Nationalist have called a "National Demo" in Leicester. They hope to use the opportunity express their concerns about the city becoming "the first to have a minority of Indigenous English in the near future." This, they claim "is non other than ethnic clearing." Which is presumably similar to ethnic cleansing.

While the organisers are insistent that the "demo is not connected to any political party," it is prominently promoted on the websites of both the England First Party, a BNP-splinter group, and the openly-fascist National Front. Something which you might hope the organisers would be concerned about.

In May 2008 Hicham Yezza, an IT technician at the University of Nottingham, was arrested, together with student Rizwaan Sabir, in a well-publicised anti-terrorist swoop. They had downloaded al-Qaida material from the US Department of Defense website as part of Sabir's academic work on terrorism.

The campaign against this years BNP Red, White and Blue festival (RWB) is well under way. On Monday morning BNP man Alan Warner woke up to find himself locked into his own farmyard and the words "Racist BNP scum" sprayed on his wall. Derbyshire police have released the cost of their operations in policing the BNP's Red, White and Blue festival in August. The cost of deploying 400 officers and a helicopter came to quarter of a million quid. Locals are rightly disgusted that a fascist piss up has wasted so much public money.
