ZorEx Withdraw From Manchester Monkey Flights

NAVA | 03.09.2010 11:12 | Animal Liberation

Two others have also refused to be involved after being approached, leading the Manchester monkey flights in a corner. The organisers had to go through every charter airline in Spain and France, before eventually finding one in Germany!

Following the decision of many regular airlines not to transport animals for testing purposes, Impex decided to co-ordinate charter (private hire) planes to deal with difficulties.

ZorEx were on such charter airlines, heavily involved in the transport of primates to the UK for vivisection and have been conducting business in this sickening trade since it begun in 2007.

However, we found out and got in contact with them and co-ordinated demonstrations with local activists to begun next week. As a result, we today received the statement below from the Spanish airline, confirming an end in this trade.

"03/09/10

GOOD MORNING, JUST TO LET YOU KNOW THAT WE ARE NOT DOING THESE FLIGHTS ANYMORE... BEST REGARDS ZOREX OPS"

We appreciate ZorEx making the ethical choice to end involvement. It must be pointed out that, unlike other companies in the transport business, it is impossible for airlines to lie about ending involvement. All planes have registration numbers, with Zorex the one used was EC-HJC, which can be traced back to the airline easily.

Well done guys

Another one bites the dust, companies willing to do it reduce, it becomes harder and so costs go up. Cost go up so testing on primates goes down (and alternatives become more economically viable to produce and use). That's what this campaign is all about.

Minkey lol you seem to be confused this is a long war, with many big battles to come and I am sure we will be fighting you and your fat fingers sometime soon.

Can't wait

Minkey Tinkey too too
