BNP goes for representational politics in the EU

The BNP is mounting a campaign in the North West and finding unprecedented support for his candidate to the European Parliament. However absurd this may sound, it is happening before our eyes. The challenge it poses is how to engage the anti-immigration rhetoric when it goes to representational.

to more democractic society would help. How do we counter the BNPs refugee snafu, well lets stop going around with banners saying " no borders",very vague, imlplies will let any nonce or mass murderer into the community or country unrestrained.

Freedom can always be abused but that is no reason to get rid of it

Freedom will always be abused by some people but that is no reason to get rid of it for everyone else.

Just because some pedos or murderers might move here is no reason to block the freedom of movement to everyone else. Once you start along that road you get into totalitarianism.

Already the government is trying to sow the seeds for a national DNA database by pushing stories in the media about people who have had relatives murdered saying it is a good idea because it helps catch killers. So because a tiny minority abuse freedom the rest of us get it taken away from us.

We are living in what they call the "gilded cage".

Thats why britain is so great, any single citizen can put themselves forward.
It doesn't matter if your the monster raving loony party, katie price or a representative of the bnp.
Any control of one group over another's representation is always open to abuse

I doubt most of the people who know enough about, protest against and organise to fight the anti-immigration rhetoric in Britain engage with parliamentary politics (either as candidates or voters) and for good reasons. In fact, representational politics is part of the problem that migration and responses to it addresses. Even a vague defence of formal 'freedom of speech' calls for a consideration of purchasing powers in the information economy.

My local parliamentary representative is a senior Labour git who claimed £17,000 in milage at a time he couldn't drive. I doubt anyone else in his constituency got that mileage in expenses, so it it is hardly representative of the people. Of course, if it was true then it would be arguable but the House of Commons 'Green Book' states he should have paid the driver that cash. The driver, a Labour employee, claimed she only got £60. So he either overclaimed by 283% or his employee, a lifelong labour supporter is a liar who defrauded the public of at least £16,940. And that is just for mileage.
I am obviously biased being since I'm a baby-eating terorist, but one of his own local Labour councillors went to work for him, only to quit after a day claiming he was a 'modern day mill-owner'.

The Labour Party, 1900-2009, RIP.
