The cops have also been:
'[...] carrying out undercover work and monitoring activists after threats of damage to property and restaurants in the area.'
So we should all be safe to abuse ducks and geese soon. Though in the mean time these restaurants are going to stand firm:

Mooney performs U-turn and dumps foie gras
27.02.2008 16:03
Mr Mooney has stated that he has received threats, due to this unpopular dish being presented by his establishments, however, we are disappointed that he did not see the clear cruelty involved, and make a positive decision not to include such abject cruelty on the menu.
We hope that in time he will review his entire menu and consider the cruelty involved in many of the items on display.
Mr Mooney helps run The Belle Epoque and The Duke of Portland in Cheshire, and the George and Dragon in Chester.
