Sunday night and the Basement (Manchester's Social Centre) was swinging to the sounds of samba, with 18 people attending the Rhythms of Resistance Manchester open workshop.
Basement goers, internet surfers, travellers, and who we suspect to be latin percussionists (!) joined the Rhythms of Resistance (RORM) open workshop on 12th November 2006.
The workshop included a chat about Creative Activism and two and a half hours of cool tune playing as well as some yummy vegan snacks!
The aim of the workshop was to reach the community and present Creative Activism as a means of political expression.
