Why do workers for Social Services always moan about how bad the service is being run.
I am regularly told by people who work for them that they are badly treated, regularly abused in relation to race, sexism, disability etc by both managers and co-workers.
I always thought that Manchester was against all forms of discrimination, having so many policies and being a city that prides itself on events like Gay Pride, the Moss Side Carnival and having the first Muslim Lord Mayor.
But what I am learning is that underneath the facade of equality, is a sham built upon false ideals, polite smiles, ridicule and degredation.
Why doesn't the council try sorting out the problems of racism, sexism and disability discrimination in Manchester, before paying to send their man to Israel, to solve the racial problems between Jews and Pakistanis there.

Palestinians do live in palestine, its the lord mayor who thinks that Israel is next door to Pakistan.
Read the press statements, but i forget, pakistan represents all the islamic world, islam was founded in pakistan and pakistanis tend to represent all muslims.
Thats a view shared by many in the arab world who think the west looks to much towards pakistan as the voice for the Arab region.

Pakistan ("Pure State") came into existence in about 1948 after the partion of India.
It was a State for the Muslim Minority to live. It's not the "home" of Islam. In Jerusalem there is the "Dome of the Rock" another Muslim shrine... Muslims have shrines throughout the Silk Route from Spain (The Alhambra) to China (The Uighirs). As an Historical Movement it is ethnically diverse.
Going to Pakistan is going to a Military Dictatorship.
Going to Israel is going to a Military Dictatorship.
Going to America is going to a Military Dictatorship.
Seems like Manchester Social Services are not Racist, they are simply pandering to
Military Dictatorships.
