The next Defy ID Meeting is Thursday 15th December at the Basement, Lever St. The start time is an optimistic 7pm.
We intend to discuss where and when to go out leafletting and how. We should also be discussing a new leaflet and some sticker designs.
Last night, the 9th, a couple of us went along to a meeting of the Haldane Society at the Friends Meeting House. It was billed to be about Civil Liberties and a speaker from No2ID was booked. When we got there, we introduced ourselves and were told that No2ID had cancelled. Did we want to speak instead? So I grabbed the opportunity by the horns, to mix my metaphors, and boldly went on for the final 15 minutes. There were only about 20 there, but we were very well recieved. It was amazingly easy to speak to them. Hopefully a couple will come to the next meeting.
I think we should offer to put on a proper presentation for them in the New Year. It would also be interesting to meet up with someone from No2ID!
