Joint call by a number of Left and Worker organisations for
A week of Solidarity with Iranian workers
1st week October 2005
We , the signatories of this leaflet announce in loud and clear voice that Iranian workers and toilers are not alone in their struggle against the constant attacks of the capitalist Islamic Republic Regime in Iran, a government that is depriving workers of their most basic rights.
Our aim is to support and defend workers who are insulted, threatened and killed by the repressive capitalist order in power in Iran. We are calling on you to support the following demands of Iranian workers:
1-Realisation of workers right to strike, to set up their own independent workers organisations, the right to free speech, the right to gather in meetings...
2-An end to all intimidation and attacks on workers including physical attacks, imprisonment, torture and execution of workers and toiler in Kurdish cities
3-Unconditional release of all political prisoners
In the week of solidarity with Iranian Workers we will be active on an international scale in every city and town , to organise demonstrations , pickets in front of Iranian embassies, consulates... We will organise meetings in the language of the host country to raise the issues concerning Iranian workers, we will collect funds to support workers hardship funds, we will try and speak in local and national radio and television stations and we will address the trade union movement in the host nation to call for practical solidarity with Iranian workers.
Fellow workers comrades!
Sign this petition; join us in an International Campaign to defend Iranian workers.

Would you kindly inform us how many simple-minded 'lefties' have to be convinced by these crude propaganda activities before you feel confident enough to go ahead with your plan to NUKE Iran?
I mean, you and I both know that you aren't fooling any significant numbers of people, but these constant posts are obviously meant to serve SOME purpose.
Is there REALLY some Forest Gump type person out there that you HAVE to recruit, before your DARK GOD allows you to move to the next stage? Is life really nothing more than a tacky horror novel?
Some propaganda is ALL TOO OBVIOUS. As I type, the 'Iran to give nuclear technology to other muslim countries' story is doing the rounds, basic psy-ops of the 'even civilian nuclear power in Iran is deadly dangerous' type.
But this, Iran is bad to workers so give the country a damned good NUKING- well, who the hell does this play to?

Giving Iran the "Iraq Treatment"
15.09.2005 17:36
UNITED NATIONS, Sept. 13 -- With an hour-long slide show that blends satellite imagery with disquieting assumptions about Iran's nuclear energy program, Bush administration officials have been trying to convince allies that Tehran is on a fast track toward nuclear weapons.
The problem, acknowledged one U.S. official, is that the evidence is not definitive. Briefers "say you can't draw any other conclusion, and of course you can draw other conclusions," said the official, who would discuss the closed-door sessions only on condition of anonymity.
Several diplomats said the slide show reminded them of the flawed presentation on Iraq's weapons programs made by then-secretary of state Colin L. Powell to the U.N. Security Council in February 2003.
(Since the Bush/PNAC Regime was intentionally LYING, is it correct to call their LIES simply "flawed" ... ?)
The presentation has not been vetted through standard U.S. intelligence channels because it does not include secret material. One U.S. official involved in the briefing said the intelligence community had nothing to do with the presentation and "probably would have disavowed some of it because it draws conclusions that aren't strictly supported by the facts."
